The much hyped Oz indie outfit Atlas Genius will join Angel City’s own Silversun Pickups on an epic North American fall tour. The run kicks off on September 4th and will include a stop at our own Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, CA on September 13.

In preparation for the stint with Silversun Pickups, the band embarked on its first U.S. tour this month, performing at the CD101 Summerfest in Ohio and then making its way west. Atlas Genius, made up of the Adelaide-based brothers Keith (guitar), Steven (bass) and Michael (drums) Jeffrey (this still makes me do double takes, Jeffrey Michael) with Brit Darren Sell on keyboards, played sellout after sellout dates with Animal Kingdom and wrapped the tour with radio shows in Seattle and Portland.

Check out the live acoustic video of “Symptoms,” off Atlas Genius’ debut EP, Through The Glass, released this past June. Produced, engineered and mixed by the band in its home studio, Through The Glass is home to the irresistible pop single and next big summer anthem, “Trojans,” which has garnered the trio praise from  the likes of Paste, Nylon, NPR and USA Today. The radio-loved single is already in Modern Rock radio’s Top 25 and peaked at No. 1 on both Hype Machine and the We Are Hunted “Emerging Artist” chart.

Atlas Genius has been hard at work in its home studio on its full-length debut album, with plans to finish and deliver to their already hungry fans after the fall tour.
